Plasmaantrieb

The Plasma Drive makes use of the high energy, ionised plasma from a fusion reactor (though other sources of plasma are available) and uses it to propel the ship, this plasma is a lot higher in energy than that produced by a chemical reaction and therefore produces significantly more thrust.

These drives are very stable and simple in construction so have low maintenance requirements. Ships that make use of this drive can be seen all across the universe because of the coloured trails that can be seen when a ship is moving. The various colours are because of the type of fuel source the reactor uses for its supply.
